I've listed the most frequently asked questions here to help you find the answers you are looking for.

Young Living Questions

 

Here you'll find questions that relate to essential oils, Young Living products, and toxic-free living and lifestyle questions:

1. Why should I choose Young Living? What makes Young Living different?

This is definitely the most asked question out there, and therefore I have dedicated a whole article on answering this question. For me it’s simple, I use essential oils to elevate my health and taking care of my body and that of my family. It is my priority - which is why I settle for nothing but the best of what is out there.Here you can read why Young Living produces the “highest quality of Essential Oils”  and furthermore why I believe in the ethics of this company.


2. I don’t really want to sell Essential Oils. Do I have to sell anything if I join Young Living?

Absolutely not. You don’t have to sell anything, but you can be a very happy user with your wholesale membership that gives you an amazing 24% off.


3. Am I required to make a minimum purchase each month?

No, you are not required to order monthly. You can order whenever you want, but the pre-requisite to keep your account active is one 50PV order a year.

However, monthly orders are awesome - it’s your monthly wellness box delivered straight to your door. In addition, you can earn points that can be used to redeem free products and you also receive a lot of gifts from Young Living!

4. What is ER, PV, OGV?

ER stands for Essential Rewards: The Essential Rewards program is a monthly ordering program. (See 'monthly orders' above - in Q3).

PV stands for Product Value:  As Young Living operates globally with different currencies and prices, the product value is the same in each country.

OGV stands for Overall Group Volume: The amount of product value points accumulated by your community.


5. How do I order the essential oils and products?

You can order them straight through your online account in your virtual office or go to one of the Experience Centers, if you are lucky to live close to one. If you are not yet a member you can join our community here.


6. What is Seed to Seal?

Seed to Seal is the very unique trait that Young Living has, as they are in control of the process from the moment they source the seeds, plant the seeds, all throughout the harvest, distillation process and finally the moment they seal the bottle! Starting a new business is exciting, but understandably, you'll have a lot of questions! Here are some of the questions that I am most frequently asked - and questions that I asked, when I was first getting started!

  • Do I need to have previous business experience?

No!! This is the best thing about getting started with Young Living and Oily Essentials! Anyone can start regardless of your background, previous or current employment. You can start as a small business and grow organically or you can put more time into your project with the aim of making it your sole employment. It's up to you how you do this but literally, all you need to get going is a starter kit!


  • What is the best way to get the word out about my new business?

The best way to get the word out about anything is word of mouth. Start by telling your friends and family about your new venture - this is a great chance to hold a small event or launch party at home and get people involved (I have some great tips and ideas on this too). After that, it's time to get on SOCIAL MEDIA. Social media reaches virtually everyone, everywhere. Social media will allow you to connect with more people than any other platform and it's FREE and you can post as much as you like, whenever you like!

  • I have a personal Facebook and Instagram page, can I use them for my essential oils business?

Generally, the answer to this is no, unless you are a social media influencer with more than 2,000 followers - and even then, it's not generally advised. This doesn't mean that you can't use your personal pages entirely, but the best solution is to set up a business Facebook and Instagram account. You can still share your posts to your personal page if you wish to do so. This means you can keep your private life private and your business will gain the benefits given to business accounts (if you are new to business accounts on social media, see the next question).


  • Why do I need business social media pages? What is different to my personal page?

While personal social media accounts will tell you how many friends, followers and shares you have, business accounts grant access to in-depth about your audience. You can use those insights to understand audience demographics, identify which types of posts perform best and improve your social skills for greater exposure, engagement and customer response. You might not be thinking about it right now, but in the future, you can place advertisements for a business page, and you can have more than one admin who is able to access the account which is great if you are working with a partner or 3rd party who you might not want to access to your personal page.

A couple of other points to note are that business social media pages are FREE and they are easy to create. All you need is a catchy name, a profile picture and a cover shot - and you are ready to start posting!


  • Do I need to keep a lot of stock at home?

No! When you sign up new members they order directly from Young Living by using their own membership number and products are delivered directly to their home address.


  • Do I need to have a website?

Not at all, most Young Living members do not have websites! Your primary ways of reaching out to people will be through word of mouth and social media - both of which are far reaching, effective and FREE! Unless you want to create a website, you don't need to have one at all, although you may choose to do so later on. I have developed this site after years of being involved with Young Living, so that I can better serve my team - and you!


  • What happens if I start and I want to take a break?

That's not a problem. Any members who you have signed up will continue to order for themselves, they do not order via you. Also, anyone who you sign up automatically becomes part of the Oily Essentials network and has my full support. In other words, I support you and your members, so if you need to take time out, take a break, or even move on to another project, you are able to do so whenever you like, for as long as you like.
